2001-2002-2003 Crime Statistics Report (Indiana Campus) The following statistics are provided in compliance with Act 1988-73, and the College and University Security Information Act. The figures represent the calendar years of 2001, 2002, and 2003. Brief definitions of some of the crime categories that may not be self-explanatory are provided in the definitions following the statistical information. Questions regarding this report may be addressed to the Crime Prevention Office, IUP Police Department 724-357-7973. The crime rate is the number of reported crimes in each category divided by the gross number of full-time equivalent (FTE) students and employees on the Indiana campus; e.g., in 2002 three incidents of receiving stolen property divided by 13,229 FTE = .00020 cases per FTE. Please refer to the IUP Campus Safety and Security Policies and Procedures on the Web at www.iup.edu/police/maincampus.shtm for crime prevention action that you can take to lessen crime on our campus. A copy can be obtained at the University Police office. Crime prevention programs can be scheduled by calling the university police crime prevention office at 724-357-7973.
