Fryling, Director
October 30, 2007
I am saddened to inform you
that Mark Dushok, a 21-year-old communications
major from West Pittston, passed away late Monday evening,
Oct. 29, 2007, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle
accident in Homer City.
Mark had a wonderful talent
for photography, and worked with The Penn student
newspaper as a photographer and interned with The Indiana
Gazette this past summer in the photography department.
The death of any member of
our community is a tragedy that saddens us all. We are a
campus family whose welfare and future are united across
all departments, units, divisions and disciplines.
Our most immediate
responsibility is to support one another and Mark’s family
and friends as we mourn this loss together.
A funeral service for Mark will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 2
at the
Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West
Pittston. Friends may call at the funeral home on Nov. 1
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be in
Mountain View Burial Park, Harding.
We will work with Mark's family and friends in the
creation of an
appropriate University memorial service at a later date.
