English (Elkin Hall, 1st Floor)

For students majoring in English of Journalism or having an interest in literature/creative writing

Living on this floor provides students with opportunities to get to know others with interests similar to their own, to take part in shared writing experiences, to share original works, to form reading circles, and to promote discussions of the writing process and techniques.  Residents of the community may plan and participate in programs and activities related to their interest in creative aspects of English.  Past programs have included hosting round-table discussions for residents, developing poetry boards, conducting student organization meetings, and organizing writing workshops for floor residents.
