Education (Shafer Hall, 3rd & 4th Floors)

For students enrolled in any Education major

This residential learning community enables students to interact with others having similar interests to their own, join study groups to assist with difficult classes, and participate in unique academic programs offered to the residents on the floor.  Students are encouraged to collaborate as partners in the success of tomorrow’s teachers, promote discussion of current events as they affect the quality of elementary and secondary education, share creative pedagogical ideas, and encourage diverse perspectives to challenge their own understanding. The residential community provides a commonality among students which will range from those taking their first PRAXIS exam to student teachers appreciative that their peers understand the demands and challenges of student teaching
