Composition (7 credits)
ENGL 101 (4 credits) College Writing--to be taken 1st or
2nd
semester
ENGL 202 (3 credits) Research Writing--to be taken no earlier than
3rd semester
(i.e. at least sophomore standing)
Mathematics
(3-6 credits): Many departments specify which math course should be
taken
KNOWLEDGE AREAS:
Humanities (9 credits): One course
from each of
three areas: history, philosophy or religious studies,
literature
Fine Arts
(3 credits): One course from list
Natural
Science (8-10 credits)
EITHER Option I (8 credits in a two-semester lecture-lab sequence) OR
Option II (4 credits
in a one-semester lecture-lab course with 6 credits from two courses from
the list of Natural Science Nonlaboratory
Courses. The second non-lab course may count
as one of the
LS electives.
Social Science (9
credits): 3
courses from list, but no course prefix may be used more than
once.
- Health and Wellness (3 credits): Alternate ways of fulfilling this
requirement:
one year of Military Science/ROTC (MLSC 101-MLSC 102 or MLSC 203-MLSC 204);
veterans are
given 4 credits by validating two years active duty.
