College technology needs will continue to be supported by the College Technology Manager (CTM) model. Given these changes, where do I go for technology support? The Academic Computing Policy Advisory Committee (ACPAC) Online Learning Action Team is researching tools, technologies and models that will shape the future of online learning at IUP. Vendor support for WebCT 4.x has been extended through June 2009, with an option to extend support for an additional year. IT Services will continue to provide support for both WebCT 4.x and the new online learning model until a migration plan and dates are determined. Areas that are currently developing materials within WebCT 4.x should continue to do so. I am currently developing, or looking to develop, courses in WebCT 4.x. Should I wait until the new model is in place? What about support and consulting? What will happen to these courses in the future? Please proceed with your plans for developing courses in WebCT 4.x.
