Scheduling
Scheduling for an internship/co-op is done online. Students must meet the pre-requisites in order to register.

Financial Aid
Students receiving financial aid may be able to apply those funds to the cost of an internship/co-op. Contact the Financial Aid Office in Clark Hall for further information.

Career Services
Located in Pratt Hall, Career Services assists internship/co-op students while they prepare to go into the field. They provide mock interviews, resume help and job search and other employment-related workshops. Need an idea for where to do your internship? Browse the IUP Employer Online Library!

Burson-Marsteller
Creative and hard-working students wanted! Burson-Marsteller, a communications consulting agency, has a summer internship opportunity in its public affairs practice. The intern would work directly on a consumer education initiative for a local utility company, monitor media to report coverage that affects client's business and provide support for an account team regarding new business opportunities. Comcast-Spectacor
Comcast-Spectacor offers sports and entertainment industry internship opportunities in Philadelphia with the Sixers, Flyers, Phantoms, The First Union Center/Spectrum, as well as the Bowie Baysox, Frederick Keys and Delmarva Shorebirds (Maryland Minor League Baseball teams).

Coro Center for Civic Leadership
Coro, a non-profit non-partisan organization, prepares men and women from diverse backgrounds for ethical and effective leadership in the public arena. The Internship Initiative, a collaborative project of Coro and the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board, will connect regional colleges and universities with regional employers striving to attract and retain talent in the region. Feminist Majority
A feminist think tank, the Feminist Majority, offers full-time internships in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles for undergraduates interested in feminism and public policy.

IBM Student Portal
Big Blue has two different internship programs. The Employment Pathways for Interns and Co-ops (EPIC) program is for a variety of majors, such as accounting and graphic design, as well as computer science. Extreme Blue is a more competitive program for computer science and MBA students only.

ImaginePA
Harrisburg internships developing computing systems for the state government, focusing on five areas of business processes:  accounting, budgeting, payroll, human resources and purchasing.

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
The Vilar Institute for Arts Management at the Kennedy Center offers internships in arts administration and arts education administration. They currently offer 20 different internships in departments such as advertising, development, education, press relations, programming, production, special events, technology and volunteer management.

KidsFest at Orchard Hill Church in Wexford, Pa.
A highly energetic week-long summer day camp for children entering first through sixth grade, KidsFest runs for four consecutive weeks during the months of July and August. College Summer Staff members have the opportunity to lead a team of KidsFest kids with the assistance of a high school student. Our team is passionate about reaching kids with the love of Christ. We are seeking college students who have a desire to intentionally build relationships with kids as they teach and model the person of Jesus Christ. In addition, College Summer Staff and Interns may hold other key positions at Orchard Hill Church. We offer positions in programming, student ministries, administrations, grounds and music. National Multiple Sclerosis Society�Allegheny District Chapter
We are looking for an energetic, confident individual with good organizational skills who can work independently in the community to identify media contacts and develop a comprehensive 12-month public relations plan for the Chapter staff to implement. The Chapter will provide the student with a recommended NMSS Public Relations Manual, access to a computer, telephone, supervision and support as needed. Each summer, PHMC provides approximately 45 students with opportunities to work with museum, archives, preservation, and history professionals on a variety of projects and tasks, in a variety of settings; to apply classroom learning to real life; and to explore career options.

The Pressley Ridge Schools
The Pressley Ridge Schools is a well-established non-profit children�s services agency with programs in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland and Ohio. Lines of service include community-based, foster care, residential and educational programming. Pressley Ridge provides students with an ideal learning environment that supports  practical, hands-on experience in partnership with experts in the fields of mental health and child welfare. Students may participate in a wide variety of program operations across program sites in Allegheny, Beaver, Westmoreland, Washington, Greene and Fayette Counties.  T.H.I.S. (The Harrisburg Internship Semester)
Administered by the State System, this program gives students a semester-long internship experience in public policy. Interns work within the Pennsylvania legislature, as well as with independent boards, agencies and commissions.

U.S. Department of Energy
Listing of internships within the Department and with its affiliates.

U.S. Department of State
The Department has several programs enabling students to get experience in a foreign affairs environment through on-the-job experience. Opportunities are available in Washington, D.C., and in embassies overseas.

United Way of Allegheny County
The United Way of Allegheny County is seeking marketing interns for its e-business division. A successful applicant needs basic computer and Internet skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in group environments. The Webster Apartments
Located in mid-Manhattan, the Webster offers accommodations for single working women. Room rates including service and two meals daily�are low and vary according to guest's weekly gross salaries. Webster is just minutes from the Broadway theater district, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Madison Square Garden and is near major train, bus and subway lines. The building is a 13-story brick structure of 390 single rooms, each offering a private telephone, clothes closet and sink. Bath areas with individual showers are located on each floor. Storage space and laundry rooms are also provided. Facilities include dining rooms, television and rec rooms with pianos and stereo music, a library with the latest magazines and newspapers and several small lounges. American University Summer Intern Housing
Located in one of Washington 's most beautiful residential areas in the northwest corner of the District of Columbia , American University is convenient to all the resources of the city and surrounding suburbs. They offer offering competitively priced housing in an ideal location for interns and students coming to the nation's capital.
