"Working with Dr. Chaiken and the other
anthropology faculty has allowed me to build a sense of professionalism
as an undergraduate that I never imagined I would receive. Not
only was the position of research assistant for Dr. Chaiken a
great way to build my resume, but it also gave me the chance to
enhance my skills as a student anthropologist. Out of the study
we did on cooking habits, I have created my own independent study
project to research the food selections that students make in
the cafeteria on campus. Being able to conduct my own research
project as an undergraduate is an incredible opportunity for which
I am extremely grateful. The individual attention that the anthropology
department provides is second to none, and am confident my experiences
here will serve me well as I continue my education and follow
my career path."
