accessibility of the university, and for our region, which benefits from an educated work force and the
economic stimulus
the university provides.
- Some things you should know, as you consider giving:
- IUP has served more than 94,000 students at its three campuses since its founding in 1875.
- More than 55,000 of our alumni live and work in Pennsylvania, contributing to their businesses and communities.
- While state appropriations are certainly important to university operations, Pennsylvania ranks 47th in the nation in its spending on public higher education. Yet IUP remains accessible to talented students from across the state and the nation, in part through an assertive financial aid program – which is supported in large part by contributions by our alumni and friends.
- The university is engaged in planning a dynamic, innovative
economic development project
that will provide high-tech and training resources to the region.
