Indiana University alumnus John Ferketic joins Woodard & Curran to lead
Environmental Information Systems Group
PORTLAND, Maine (October 13, 2005) - Woodard & Curran is pleased to
announce that Indiana University alumnus John Ferketic has joined the
firm as a Vice President for the firm's Environmental Information
Services group.
Ferketic has 25 years of spatial technology experience designing,
developing, and implementing multi-million-dollar geographic information
systems (GIS) projects for public sector clients at the local, state,
and federal levels as well as managing data development solutions for
energy and transportation clients.
At Woodard & Curran, Ferketic's primary focus will be providing
leadership and direction for the firms' EIS group supporting both the
existing internal and external client base as well as planning the
group's future direction.
Prior to joining the firm, he held senior management positions at
several national GIS consulting firms, including Michael Baker Jr.,
Inc., and the James W. Sewall Company in Old Town, Maine.
He earned a bachelor's and master's degree in geography from Indiana
University of Pennsylvania. Ferketic also served for four years as an
adjunct professor at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where
he created and taught courses in GIS Management.
Woodard & Curran is a consulting and operations firm integrating
services in engineering, science, and operations. Founded as a 10-person
office in 1979, the firm has grown to include nine offices in Maine,
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Connecticut, and Florida and
nearly 50 contract operated treatment facilities across the U.S.
