Electronic Financial Aid Services
Financial aid information and processes are becoming increasingly more accessible through electronic medium. These advanced technologies provide numerous opportunities for enhanced services that are available 24/7. In order to understand the various options available, the information below outlines the major access points for personal financial aid information through the Internet. The Student Financial Aid Personal Identification Number (SFA PIN) is an electronic signature and access code provided by the U.S. Department of Education. It is a four-digit number that is linked to the name, date of birth and social security number. Parents can also get their own SFA PIN to use for electronic signature purposes. For those who have not received one in the mail, a SFA PIN can be obtained at http://www.pin.ed.gov. The SFA PIN may be used in the following situations:
< Back To Top > Students are encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) electronically at the website: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. By using the SFA PIN, applicants can submit the initial application or make corrections to the FAFSA. < Back To Top > PHEAA’s Access Student Aid Profile (ASAP) allows access to personal information from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency. Visit the website www.pheaa.org and then follow the link to ASAP/Account Access. A password and user id must be established in order to fully utilize the services and information available.
