The Office of Engineering and Construction is responsible for the planning and implementation of designs for major renovation and construction projects. Other areas of responsibility include mapping, infrastructure updating, underground utility custody, interior design, space utilization, capital budget and plant drawings.

In addition to working closely with many other areas throughout the University and the community to assist with special projects and programs to benefit IUP, the department works closely with the Department of General Services. DGS has a field office located in the Robertshaw Building.
