The Emergency Plan is coordinated by the University Safety Office.


 

 



Building Evacuation

• Do not panic. Remain calm.

• Activate the building alarms.

• When the building alarm is sounded, walk quickly to the nearest marked exit and alert others to do the same.

• Do not attempt to access other areas of the building to retrieve personal belongings.

• When evacuating rooms, close all doors.

• Assist individuals with disabilities in exiting the building.

• IN CASE OF FIRE DO NOT USE ELEVATORS .

• Once outside, move to a clear area at least 500 feet from the affected building and report to your designated assembly point.

• Keep streets, fire lanes, hydrants and walkways clear for emergency vehicles and crews.

• Do not return to an evacuated building until told to do so by a University Police officer or Public Safety officer.

• EVERYONE MUST EXIT THE BUILDING WHEN THE ALARM SOUNDS. DO NOT STAY IN THE BUILDING.
