ILR  612 Labor Relations - Practice and Administration

Practice and administration of labor relations focusing on the operation and internal relationships of the individuals involved and upon the application of labor relation skills.  Students completing this course will be able to (1) describe the expanding roles, responsibilities and skills needed to deal with issues arising from the employment setting; (2) illustrate and apply appropriate decision making strategies in scenario based cases; (3) identify how decisions made by managers may impact the global, legal, and ethical environments of the employment relations field; (4) predict how the issues of ethics, change, diversity, technology, and culture may impact the environment of employment relations; and (5) recommend strategic and creative ideas that will address situational issues facing practitioners in the field of employment relations.
