Kim Weiner, Ph.D. Associate Professor Chair/Director
Biography:
Dr. Weiner received her
Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in Counseling
Psychology in 1993. She has worked at various college counseling centers
including The Pennsylvania State University (University Park), University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie
Mellon University and Community College of Allegheny County. She has also
worked in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at WPIC in Pittsburgh. She has special
interests in working with anxiety disorders, Coherence Therapy (formerly Depth Oriented Brief Therapy), Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and meditation, and neurobiological
approaches to psychotherapy. In her spare time, she plays violin, and
particularly enjoys playing chamber music and bluegrass.
