Kendra McCarty, M.A. Practicum Student
Biography:
Kendra was born and raised nearby in the hills of West Virginia. She attended West Virginia University where she earned her B.A. in psychology. After moving to North Carolina and working in the field for a while, she returned closer to home to continue her studies. She is currently in her third year in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program and recently obtained her M.A. Her research and clinical interests include health psychology, especially as it relates to promoting sexual health in general and specifically in the context of HIV/AIDS. Not surprisingly, grief and loss is also an area of interest for Kendra. She most enjoys spending free time with friends and family, watching independent films, and reading crime mysteries and paranormal fiction.
