REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ON-CAMPUS

RECRUITMENT FOR IUP STUDENTS/ALUMNI

The on-campus recruiting program, through the Office of Career Services, is being managed entirely on-line through College Central Network (CCN).  To participate in on-campus recruiting you must be registered and have your resume uploaded with CCN.

TO REGISTER WITH CCN:
Enter the web address:  www.collegecentral.com/iup
Click on Students and Alumni
Click the appropriate link to Register on the Students/Alumni page
Create a unique ID for yourself
Create a unique password that you will remember
Confirm your password
Click Continue Registration

Enter all demographic information.  Fields with an asterisk (*) are required.  Answer questions about where you want to work and the kinds of jobs that interest you.  Be as thorough and complete as possible.

Click Submit Information.  You will then be sent to College Central’s Student Central or Alumni Central page to post your resume.

POSTING YOUR RESUME:

Click:   Resume Central
Select:  Students (or Alumni) under Updating Resumes.

Then follow these steps:

  • Enter School Name, ID and Password from your registration.

  • You will see a page headed Resume Update with links labeled:  Name and Address Information, Information About Myself and Authorizations.  Name and Address Information is the name and address you entered when you first registered.  Information About Myself is the demographic information that you provided when you first registered.  If this information has changed, click on the appropriate link, enter any updates, then press the button labeled Save Changes.   You will then be returned to the Resume Update page.

  • Update your Authorizations from this page.  You can decide whether your resume is only to be referred by your Career Center, or if you wish to submit it to both the Career Center and College Central.  The College Central site has access to many additional jobs, so you should maximize your options.  College Central can notify you about job opportunities that match your interests as well as job fairs and other employment-related items.  Then press the button labeled Save Changes.  You will be returned to the Resume Update page.

  • If you are ready to upload your resume, press the button labeled Upload My Resume.

  • Click “Browse” to call up the file with your completed resume from your disk or your computer’s hard drive.  Once the path is selected, click “Upload My Resume.”  Your resume is now uploaded, and all you will need to remember is your ID and Password.

NOW, you are ready to submit your resume for the on-campus recruiting program.

The On-campus Recruitment System is designed to help you not only search for jobs that are part of on-campus recruiting, but also to schedule interviews.  You should check back frequently for new jobs and interview schedules.

The system allows you to search and submit your resume for jobs that are unique to on-campus recruiting.  To access this site go to: www.collegecentral.com/iup, then select On-Campus Recruitment on the Students/Alumni page. Then click on Students (or Alumni) and enter your ID and password.  Then follow these steps:

  • Choose your search criteria.  If you want to view ALL of the on-campus interviews, leave all of the criteria blank.  Then click Begin Search.

  • You will see summary information for each interview.

  • Click on the Job ID Number to view the posting.

  • If you are interested in interviewing for the position, click the Submit Your Resume button.

  • You will receive confirmation that your resume has been submitted.  You may then return to your search results, do another search or leave the site.

CHECKING RESUME AND INTERVIEW STATUS

The on-campus recruitment system allows you to check the status of your resume submissions and interview schedules.  You can access this information by clicking On-Campus Recruitment on the Student/Alumni page, select Students (or Alumni), and then enter your ID and password.

You will sign up for interviews and check your resume and interview status for all jobs of interest to you on a single page in the on-campus recruitment system called an Interview Status Page.

The INTERVIEW STATUS PAGE will be the most important page that you will check while you are eligible for on-campus recruiting.  It will tell you about all jobs that are of interest to you and where interviewing is going to happen at a future date.  You will NOT see any information for postings or interviews where the Interview Date has already passed.

This page will give you the following information

  • Notification to Schedule an Interview

  • Scheduled Interviews

  • Other Submissions (these are other jobs for which you have submitted your resume, but have not yet been selected for an interview).  Your resume status may be assigned one of two values:  Pending or Not Selected.

    1. Pending – means that the employer has not made a decision to invite you to interview.

    2. Not Selected – means that the employer has decided not to invite you for an interview.

Check your INTERVIEW STATUS PAGE DAILY as a resume status of PENDING is always subject to change.  You may be invited to interview for a job that you selected at any time between the date that you submitted your resume and the date that interviews are scheduled to take place.

NOTE: If at any time you need help….go to the Students/Alumni page and click on “Need Help?”
