Student Affairs Statement on Intolerance

While The Facebook is a common tool for students at IUP and other colleges, access to the content of that site is not limited to college students.  the attached article from the Missouri University Columbian describes some of the potential dangers to your academic and career plans which can occur.

While IUP has not yet been informed of any situations of employers accessing Facebook to view students' profiles, there are reports coming from several colleges of employers eliminating potential candidates for employment based on their Facebook groups, photos, or statements in their profile.
