Gateways to Opportunity

Please see who else has supported the Allegheny Arboretum at IUP.

IUP offers opportunities to all who walk through the university’s gateways.  The Allegheny Arboretum at Indiana University of Pennsylvania will be a visible and beautiful opportunity for all who visit.  An integral part of the university, the community, and the region, the arboretum will become

  • A living museum

  • An outdoor classroom

  • A place for peaceful contemplation or outdoor recreation

  • A resource for ecological, horticultural and historical education

Phase I of the arboretum project has already begun, but we need your help!  Your gift, along with those of many other IUP alumni and friends can help create something exciting and unique for IUP and the Indiana community.

Below are special Allegheny Arboretum gift opportunities you may wish to consider. 

$500 Memorial Tree: Tree location and species to be decided by Arboretum board; trees are approximately 15-16 feet tall at time of planting; includes lifetime guarantee and recognition on Oak Grove Tree Plaque. 

$1,500 Memorial Bench: Includes bronze tag of recognition on bench.

$7,000 Oak Grove Tree Recognition Display: A bronze “tree” plaque to be located in Sutton Hall, with each leaf displaying the names of donors who are supporting the Oak Grove project with a tree purchase.

$15,0000 Arboretum Endowment: Providing an ongoing source of funding for arboretum planning, maintenance, education and special projects.

All gifts will be recognized on a donor honor roll to be located within this website.  Donors who contribute $500 or more will also be recognized as Leadership Giving Society members.
