A Special Invitation for College of Business Alumni
Crimson Huddles
Athletic Corner
Dear Alumni:
Homecoming is just around the corner on October 4, and I
am looking forward once again to meeting you and your
families as you visit your alma mater. I encourage you
to visit the Oak Grove for the traditional Kidz Karnival,
sponsored by our Student Alumni Association, make plans
to have lunch at the Crimson Huddle, watch
IUP take on Slippery Rock in the exciting Homecoming
game, and catch up with old friends at the Fifth Quarter
or at the Homecoming Ball. Check out the complete
2008 Homecoming schedule of events.
In addition, several reunions groups are planning to
meet this year at one or both of the pregame and
post-game events. If you are a former member of Phi Sigma Kappa, Alpha Sigma Tau, Alpha Omicron Pi
(Gamma Beta Chapter), Kappa Delta, Robert E. Cook Honors
College, Kappa Sigma, IUP Marching Band, Sigma Phi
Epsilon, or Sigma Tau Gamma, please visit our
2008 Homecoming schedule of events
page to see more
information about your reunion and activities for the
weekend.
If you cant join us this year, we hope that you can
join in the fun next year on October 9, 2009. If you
are interested in getting your group together and would
like some help in planning your reunion, please e-mail
me at
alumni-relations@iup.edu.
One final way for IUP alumni to get involved in the fun
of the fall season is to support IUP Head Football Coach
Lou Tepper in the Coach of the Year program sponsored by
Liberty Mutual. This award is given to the college
football coach who best demonstrates sportsmanship,
integrity, responsibility, and excellence on and off the
field. Your vote is important! You can cast your vote
daily at
www.coachoftheyear.com.
The winning coach receives a $50,000 donation to the
charity of his choice and $20,000 to the winning coachs
Alumni Association. Please vote often to support your
alma mater!
Sincerely,
Mary Jo Lyttle 86, M89
