Forwarding Instructions
Your alma mater now offers all alumni the opportunity to have a permanent
e-mail address affiliated with IUP! You are able to maintain your IUP e-mail
address as you change jobs or personal e-mail providers. All you have to do
is keep your forwarding e-mail address current.
The following guidelines are
required when setting up your e-mail forwarding service.
You will enter an alias to create the service. The alias can be of your
choosing based on the guidelines below. We suggest that you use your name
(example: John.Doe). The resulting e-mail forwarding address will be
ALIAS@alum.iup.edu. After entering
your alias, you will enter an e-mail forwarding address. This is your
personal or business email address. All e-mail sent to
ALIAS@alum.iup.edu will be forwarded
to your personal or business address.
- Your alias should not contain a space.
- Your alias should not contain a special character
(examples: @, /, &,*), although a period is acceptable (example: John.Doe).
- IUP will contact you via your e-mail forwarding address. Please
continue to monitor and keep your e-mail forwarding address current.
- Your alias should not be offensive. The service will be locked if it is
determined that your alias is offensive.
