Scholarships for Incoming Freshmen
Madeline T. Ackerman Memorial Valedictorian Scholarship
This scholarship benefits students from Western Pennsylvania enrolled in the Robert E. Cook Honors College who served as valedictorian of their high school graduating class.
ARAMARK Distinguished Scholars Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic promise to students entering the Robert E. Cook Honors College who are enrolled in the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management.
Anthony and Emma Calvetti Morino Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to students entering the Robert E. Cook Honors College. Preference will be given to residents of Western Pennsylvania who are working to provide resources for educational pursuits. A minimum GPA of 3.2 is required.
Board of Governors Scholarships
Up to 35 full-tuition scholarships are awarded each year to academically talented minority students who have scored approximately 1000 on the SAT and who are in the top 25 percent of their high school class. The BOG scholarships are renewable for a maximum of eight fall/spring semesters for recipients who maintain a satisfactory GPA.
Foundation for IUP Distinguished Scholars Awards
This program was established to honor outstanding students. Candidates must rank in the top tenth of their high school class and/or score at least 1100 on the SAT. Recipients are asked to contribute volunteer service to the community and leadership skills during their undergraduate career.
Robert E. Cook Honors College Scholarship
Provides scholarship support to talented undergraduate students enrolled in the Robert E. Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Terry and Mary Jo Dunlap Scholarship
Established by a 1981 alumnus, this fund awards a $1,500 scholarship to graduates from Blairsville, Kiski, or Fox Chapel high school who enroll in the Robert E. Cook Honors College.
Natalie S. Fassett Scholarship Fund
(Awarded jointly with the University Scholarship Committee)
Supports the Foundation Distinguished Scholars program, awarding renewable scholarships to outstanding freshmen. Preference will be given to students who attended Homer Center High School.
Theresa Hart Gramley Memorial Scholarship
(Awarded jointly with the University Scholarship Committee)
Established by bequest of Mrs. Gramley, a 1927 graduate of Indiana Normal School, this scholarship provides financial assistance to academically promising students.
Earl and Frances Kinney Memorial Trust Scholarship
Awarded to talented undergraduate students at IUP who demonstrate financial need as determined by financial standards used by the University Scholarship Selection Committee.
Kresge Foundation/Cook Honors College Scholarship
Provides scholarship support to talented undergraduate students enrolled in the Robert E. Cook Honors College.
Colonel Leonard A. and Mary D. McQuown Memorial Fund
(Awarded jointly with the University Scholarship Committee)
Supports the Foundation Distinguished Scholars program, which awards scholarships to outstanding freshmen. The awards may be renewed for four years. Preference will be given to graduates of Punxsutawney High School.
Dr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Phillips Scholarship
(Awarded jointly with the University Scholarship Committee)
Supports the Foundation Distinguished Scholars program, which awards scholarships to outstanding freshmen. The awards may be for four years. Preference will be given to residents of Butler, Clarion, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, and Venango counties.
T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. Scholarship
This scholarship provides awards to students with outstanding academic credentials who attended high school in the Western Pennsylvania counties of Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Columbia, Clarion, Clearfield, Indiana, Jefferson, or Westmoreland.
Florence Wallace Scholarship Fund
(Awarded jointly with the University Scholarship Committee)
Supports the Foundation Distinguished Scholars Program, which awards scholarships to outstanding freshmen. The awards may be renewed for four years.
