March 2007 Spring Break Trip to Switzerland

From Chef Gary Fitting, the IUP faculty member coordinating the Switzerland trip: "This is an excellent way to experience true Swiss culture and the Swiss way of life."


Some of the highlights of this years trip:

Study Swiss gourmet cuisine with Chef Patrick Diethelm, Olympic gold medal winner and one of the top chefs in Europe.

Take a class in European Pastry and Chocolateswith Chef Urs, one of the top pastry chefs in Europe.

Classes at DCT International School in Vitznau, Switzerland

Take a tour of Titlis Mountain. Ride to the highest part of the Alps. Lift tickets, ice flyer ride, toboggans and lunch included.

Cheese plant tour where you will actually make cheese
in copper kettle over a wood fire.

 

Stay in the conveniently
located Central Hotel in downtown Lucerne.

And the Grand Finale! A 6-course gourmet dinner featuring the foods and wines of Switzerland.
