Indiana
University of Pennsylvania offers the best of both
worlds for students: it's a comprehensive university
offering a range of programs and great opportunities,
but it's also a small, intimate school where you'll get
to know your professors and your classmates. Want to

Applying
At IUP, we look at each applicant as an individual, not
as a number. That means we'll review your application
materials very carefully. When reviewing applications,
the primary focus of the admissions committee is on the
student's high school record and SAT scores.
In addition, the committee often reviews the
optional personal essay and letters of recommendation
submitted by the student to help aid in the
decision-making process.
We're always happy to speak with prospective
students. Call us toll free 1-800-442-6830 or

What
You'll Learn
IUP
boasts more than 100 career-focused majors, all based on
a liberal studies curriculum. You'll get a well-rounded
education that prepares you for the job market of the
21st century and for a lifetime of learning.
At most large universities, graduate students teach many
undergraduate courses. Not at IUP. Here, you'll work
closely with experienced professors whose work is at the
cutting edge of their disciplines. And you'll learn in
small classes: more than one-fourth of all undergraduate
classes at IUP have 10 or fewer students, and more than
three-fourths have 30 or fewer.

What
You'll Do
What
happens outside the classroom is an important part of
college life at IUP. That's why you'll be able to attend
any of more than 200 cultural and entertainment events
each year; choose from some 200 recognized clubs,
activities and organizations (including one of the
country's finest marching bands); and enjoy the fun and
excitement of successful varsity, intramural and club
sports programs. What's more, you'll be able to enjoy
guaranteed housing as a freshman in comfortable
residence halls and a safe, livable setting.
The IUP Minority Information Center
was designed to introduce prospective and incoming
minority students to faculty, staff, and students.
In addition, the MIC exposes new students to resources,
programs, organizations, and support services that
enrich the minority community here at Indiana University
of Pennsylvania.

your major at IUP, you'll follow a curriculum designed

individual -- someone who will continue learning,
growing, and maturing intellectually.
We also make sure you have the specific knowledge,
skills, and experience you'll need in order to compete
successfully in the job markets of the 21st century.
Here's some proof: among the members of a recent
graduating class who responded to a survey, nine out of
ten reported that they're employed in the field of their
choice or pursuing an advanced degree.
To help make sure you get where you want to go, we offer
a comprehensive range of career-related services. Our
Career Exploration Center can help you choose a

programs, including internships,
student exchange programs, and study abroad.
