IUP Admissions Instant Messaging You now have the opportunity to contact Admissions via instant messaging! You can connect directly to the Office of Admissions by using AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, or MSN Messenger. Simply send a message to one of the screen names below with your questions during the designated times, and an Admissions representative will get back to you shortly. Currently, this service will be online during the following times:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30pm to 8:30pm EST So how do I use this service? If you are using AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messaging, or MSN Messaging, simply message "IUPAdmissions1" or "IUPAdmissions2" and you will be connected to a current Admissions representative. One of these nicknames will be logged in during advertised hours. If one is not available, please use the other. What happens when I message Admissions? When you message one of the screen names above you will be connected to one of our Admissions representatives. Our representative will respond back to you regarding your question/concern. If additional research is required by the representative there may be a pause in your message in order to for fill your request. May I leave a message if the Admissions accounts are not logged in? We are unable to respond to messages left when the IUP Admissions accounts are not available. If you have a question during hours different from those advertised as Instant Message Hours, please email us at admissions-inquiry@iup.edu or call us at 724-357-2230 or 1-800-442-6830. What do I do if the screen names above are "away"? If there is an "away message" present on one of the screen names above, please leave a message and the Admissions representative will get back to you shortly. If you choose not to leave a message please try again later or contact the Office of Admissions directly at 724.357.2230 or 1-800-442-6830 or email us your questions at admissions-inquiry@iup.edu.
Messaging is intended to provide you with another mode to ask questions and learn more about IUP and the admissions process. Due to privacy regulations, we may not be able to answer all questions via this service. The Admissions representative will alert you if they cannot share information and provide alternatives to assist you.
